BRIAN "Footwork" GREEN BIO ※ENGLISH

【BRIAN "Footwork" GREEN BIO】
BRIAN GREEN   " Footwork"

Brian Green a.k.a. " Footwork ", started dancing with his mother as long as he can remember. Dancing disco dances, hustle, and some african movements. One day he asked his Mom about learning Tap dance, after seeing numerous movies and shows his Mom showed him that starred, Bill " Bojangles" Robinson, Nicholas Brothers, Berry Brothers, Honi Cole, and others. Added that, he saw his cousin come home one day with tap shoes and practicing a " paddle and roll" in the kitchen. His Mom saw the spark of interest and took him to a dance school in their area of Bayside Queens. He studied at Robert Mann Dance Center for 1 year in Bayside, Queens.
The techniques at Robert Mann were a good start. But at that same time in 1978/79, Brian's older brother came home with a dance from the culture later known as Hip-hop. The dance was known as the Electric Boogie to the populace. Coming from the influence of party dances, some clips of Locking and Popping seen on TV syndications from California where the dances Locking and Electric Boogaloo come from.  Brian learned Snaking ( waving) from his brother at that time.
Going to church in Harlem in the 70s was also a blessing as there was always a block party ( jam ) happening. Here is where Brian saw that he had to learn more than what he was studying and doing back home. His Mom, being from Harlem, knew that as well. So, in the 70s/early 80s,  he studied Ballet with Joeffreys Ballet and Alvin Ailey. 7 years old he studied Tap and Jazz for about 7 years with Phil Black. While at the same time in the streets of NY doing/learning the Popping, and Snaking ( waving) moves with his older brother. Complimented by West (Central) African Dance movements, salsa, and hustle steps from his Mom. This young man had aot of info running in and through his mind at a very young age.
He started to perform at the age of 9, and won 2nd place in a dance contest, did magazine's for children, and the work never stopped. Brian's experience in dance has had him perform in all many genres of dance. Due to his wide experience in dance, he has been blessed to have choreographed or danced with the likes of MYA, Gwen Stefanie, Fergie and Will I AM ( Black Eye Peas), EVE, Lil Louie Vega,  Salt n' Pepa, Foxy Brown, Missy Elliott, Lil Kim, Barbara Tucker, Masters At Work, Fugees, MC Serch, Busta Rhymes, Heather B, 2 in a Room, Kwyze, Ceybil Jeffries, Nicholas Brothers, World Soul, Anita Feldman, and many more..........PRAISE GOD PLANTING HIS SEEDS THAT BECAME GREAT FRUIT!!
